July 23, 2026— NRDC Action Votes today announced its first advertising campaign of the 2026 election cycle, launching two ads directed at Rep. Rob Bresnahan to call out his track record of enriching himself while forcing Pennsylvanians to take financial hit after hit. NRDC Action Votes plans to invest more than $6 million in campaigns this cycle.
"When bills go up, people want answers, and Congressman Bresnahan should answer why he’s gambling with energy costs for Northeastern Pennsylvanians while making himself even richer, " said NRDC Action Votes Executive Director Joceyln Steinberg. "While Congressman Bresnahan stock trading with insider information from Washington apparently isn’t illegal, making Pennsylvanians pay Big Tech’s energy bills is plain criminal.”
The NRDC Action Votes campaign features two ads that reveal Bresnahan’s blatant conflict of interest, making deliberate data center related stock trades after voting to bring a data center to his district. Together, the campaign asks a simple question: When the costs of massive new data centers are passed on to Pennsylvania families, whose interests is Rep. Bresnahan really serving?
“The Bresnahan Move" illustrates how a member of Congress can legally invest in companies connected to an industry while supporting policies that could benefit those investments.
"They Wouldn't Build It in Beverly Hills," uses man on the street interviews in Los Angeles to demand better for northeastern Pennsylvania. [Extended cut here]
NRDC Action Votes supports a future that balances the need for future innovation with the needs of local communities.
